Sinister Drive

Last night I slept at 5am and then churned through a grueling 11 hours of work. By the time I got into my car for the drive home I was pretty knackered. Now, when I’m tired, I do my best not to zone out on the freeway, because freeway zoning out equals Grace getting decapitated by her awkward seatbelt.

Whilst cruising down the 405 I had quite some fun trying to stay awake. But lo and behold I found myself zoning out because some creepass managed to record eerie piano tinkering and got it on the radio. Was anyone else out there listening to Indie 103.1 tonight roughly around 8:55pm to 8:59pm? Or rather, did any of you guys realize that for the five miles stretch before Santa Monica Blvd you were nearly run over because the creepy piano playing made me feel like I was either a) about to get abducted by aliens b) trying to remain calm while doing my best not to get pulled over because my bloodied hands would give away the gruesome crime I just commited in some black and white film or c) about to get into an orgy with a mask-donning Tom Cruise (not the Vanilla Sky one)?

Seriously, what the fuck was that shit? Even the DJs, who finally ended the song, made fun of it. Michael Finney or something like that was the “composer” but I’m pretty sure that’s just the guy from ABC News in San Francisco. Anyway, any one of us could sit in front of a piano and pound out some dramatic melody – but props to this guy for nearly causing this lady to fulfill her bad driver stereotype.

  1. Sadly I have nothing more exciting to say than this: I was putting this sexy Passion guy on sad-sigh and learning about coding. The hard way.

  2. And boy is he sexy, so sexy he caused a Parse error, whatever the heck that is …

Also, Michael Finney is the 7 on your side guy from up here. He never seemed creepy on the news, but then you never know.
